Edit a Contract Type

With ICM, you can edit a Contract Type in any state, such as Draft, Published, and so on. However, you have to approve the Contract Type again.

If you edit a Contract Type in the Approved state, and update the name, the status of the Contract Type changes to Draft.
Then the Contract Type needs to go through an approval process to get to the Approved state.

To edit a Contract Type:

  1. Click RTENOTITLE in the Contract Type list, to view the Contract Type that you want to edit. The Contract Summary page opens.
  2. Click Edit. The Edit Contract Type page opens.
 
Note: You can edit only those Contract Types that have status as Draft or Approved. 
  1. The Edit Contract Type page consists of following tabs:
    1. Details
    2. Attributes
    3. Associations
    4. Display Preference
    5. Team
    6. Verify
     

    Details

    On the Details tab, edit the Contract Type information, make appropriate changes, and click Next. The Attributes tab opens.

    Note: On the Details tab, you can edit all the fields except the Contract Type Name and Contract Type Code fields. 

     

    Attributes

    On the Attributes tab, add or modify appropriate attributes for the Contract Type, and then click Next. The Association tab appears.

    You can edit the following attributes, get approval, and you do not need to publish the Contract Type again:

    Details tab:
    • Allow Third Party Paper
    • Allow Clause Assembly
    • QR Code
    Attributes tab:
    • Update Attribute
    • Attribute Group
    • Source
    • Tracking Attribute
    • Is Unique
    • Defined By Rule
    • Is Inherit
    • Is Conditional and Depends On Attribute
    • Choice values and multi-select choice values
    • Is Cascade, Cascade On
    Association tab:
    • Update Association
    • Allow Inheritance
    Display Preference tab:
    • Display preference for Agreement details view
    Team tab:
    • Team changes
    Associated Document tab:
    • Allow Document Assembly
    • Constraint

     

    Association

    On the Associations tab, add and modify an Association for the Contract Type, and then click Next.

    The Display Preference tab appears.

     

    Display Preference

    Select appropriate attributes on the Display Preference tab, select appropriate attributes so that you can view them on the Agreement tile and Agreement Details page.

    Click Next. The Team tab appears.
     

    Team

    Click Next. The Verify tab appears.
     

    Verify

    You can view all the existing information related to the Contract Type on the Verify tab. 
    Click Previous if you want to go back to the previous tab. Click Update to update the Contract Type.
